Repost: @nickfancher Back in November I drove down to Nashville to photograph @amylee for her upcoming @evanescenceofficial album, The Bitter Truth. I set up a makeshift studio in her dining room and knocked out a broad range of images for the album art, various magazine spreads, and images for streaming platforms. After getting the “studio” images out of the way we headed over to a rock quarry to get some shots of Amy standing at the edge of a cliff at sundown. This was only my second time flying a drone in my life (the first time was the day before in a field behind my house), so I was relieved that I not only got some great shots but the drone also lived to see another shoot. A couple of months later I photographed the other four band members over FaceTime, since they’re spread out all over the world.
The Bitter Truth has arrived x_x
“I want people to feel strength, I want them to feel like life is worth fighting for,” explains Lee, “but first and foremost, I want them to know that life hurts sometimes.”
